Responsible Gaming

This is the page we would want a family member to read. It covers the limits you can set inside the IV7 app, the warning signs that are worth taking seriously, and where to get help — written plainly, without the disclaimer language that makes pages like this easy to skip.

Start from the honest version

Real-money gaming is entertainment you pay for. Over enough rounds the maths favours the platform — that is not a criticism of IV7 specifically, it is how every game of this type is built, and any app suggesting otherwise is lying to you. Some sessions you finish ahead. The long-run direction is not in doubt.

That is fine, as long as you price it correctly. If you would happily spend ₹500 on a cinema ticket and popcorn, spending ₹500 on an evening of Crash rounds is the same transaction. The problem starts the moment it stops being a spend and starts being an expectation — the moment you are playing to recover something rather than because you want to play.

Four things to do before your next session

Set a deposit limit first

Decide the number before you open the app, not during a session — the figure you pick while losing is never the figure you would pick beforehand. A daily or weekly cap in the app settings makes that decision once, permanently, instead of forty times under pressure.

Use a session timer

Fast-round games erase your sense of elapsed time; that is a property of the format, not a personal failing. A timer that interrupts you after thirty or sixty minutes gives you an actual decision point instead of a slow drift.

Take a cooling-off period

A short lock — a day, a week, a month — is available in the profile menu. It is deliberately easier to start than to cancel, and that asymmetry is the entire point. Using it is not an admission of anything.

Self-exclude if you need to

A longer or permanent close of the account. Request it through in-app support; it cannot be undone on a whim, which is exactly what makes it work when a cooling-off period has not been enough.

Practical habits that actually work

None of these are dramatic. They are the things that separate people who play occasionally from people who end up in trouble, and each one removes a decision from a moment when you are least able to make it well.

  • Decide the number before you open the app. Not the maximum you could afford — the amount you have already accepted losing. Then set it as a deposit limit so the decision holds.
  • Never top up mid-session. The second deposit in an evening is almost always a reaction to the first one going badly. If the balance is gone, the session is over.
  • Set an alarm, not an intention. Thirty minutes on your phone clock. When it goes off, stop — regardless of whether you are up or down.
  • Withdraw winnings rather than leaving them in. A balance that stays in the wallet gets played back. Moving it to your bank makes it real.
  • Never play to recover a loss. This is the single most reliable predictor of a bad outcome. The loss is already spent; treating the next round as a way to undo it is what turns a small loss into a large one.
  • Do not play while drinking, upset or exhausted. Every one of these degrades exactly the judgement that stake sizing depends on.
  • Keep it out of borrowed money entirely. No credit, no loan apps, no borrowing from friends. This is the line where a hobby becomes a debt problem.

Warning signs worth taking seriously

Read these as a checklist rather than a description of someone else. If more than one or two land, it is worth pausing — not because something is wrong with you, but because these games are engineered to be compelling and noticing early is far easier than noticing late.

If several of these are true, stop playing and use a cooling-off period today rather than after one more session. Then talk to someone — a person you trust, or a counsellor. Gambling problems get harder to unwind the longer they run, and almost nobody resolves one silently.

Underage play

IV7 is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. If you share a phone with someone under 18, keep the app behind a screen lock and do not save payment details in the browser. Accounts found to belong to a minor are closed.

Acting on any of this

Deposit limits and session timers you can set yourself in the app settings. A cooling-off period sits in the profile menu. Self-exclusion and account closure go through the support button inside the IV7 app — that is the only route that reaches someone who can action it, and they will not talk you out of it.

The helplines above are independent of the app and of this site. They are free, confidential, and you do not need an account, a referral or a reason to call.
